Shadowrun 20th Anniversary Limited Edition
It has been a long road, but the Limited Edition version of Shadowrun’s 20th Anniversary core book is currently being shipped across the ocean, and the sample copies have arrived in our Seattle office. We’ve been mum about the exact features of this title, but now it’s time to show it off:
A black, leather bound hardcover with silver imprinting, each book is numbered for the limited printing. The LE comes with a full-color heavyweight slipcase, two bookmarks and an 11”x34” double-sided poster of the Seattle skyline—one side blue, the other red.
We will be posting a street date in the next few weeks, when the books arrive in our warehouse and we can finalize that date.
If you have already pre-ordered this book: sit tight, and we will ship it to you from our Seattle location as soon as possible.
If you want to buy this book at your local game store, please give them a call and let them know you want a copy. The stock number is CAT2600LE and you can give them the following sell sheet (or a link to it): SR4A Limited Edition
If you want to pre-order this book from us: You can do so in the following configurations:

Woohoo! ‘Bout damn time! :]

Thank god. Pre-ordered in June. Have the LE of 3rd (150) and 4th (886) and would’ve been devastated not to get the 20A. Thanks for the update.

*does the happy dance!* YAY! Finally! I see the light at the end of the tunnel…
and for once, it is not a train! ;)

Finally… after one year of waiting…
Reminder to myself: never preorder anything again.

Awesome.
Is it likely to make it to RPG distroes in the UK, or should I order online and pay the massive shipping?

Joe–
It will be going into the international channels. I’m not sure on the exact quantities and which countries, that’s four people removed from CGL. If you want to guarantee your copy, BattleShop does ship internationally. Yeah, it can cost an arm and a cyber-torso, but it comes with the guarantee.

FINALLY!!!!

Kerry–
This has just been one of those projects where everything that could go wrong, did. (The only thing left that could go wrong is a maelstrom swallows the boat whole and sucks it to the bottom of the sea…but I’m really hoping that doesn’t happen.) Your patience is going to be paid off, the book is gorgeous and the slip cover is durable enough that I could actually see using it in my regular gaming.
If you have any feedback, feel free to toss me an email.

Thanks for the update on this was just thinking it’s been awhile and was thinking I’d ask what’s up again.
Now if only this can make it to me before March 12th I can use it to promote Shadowrun at Megacon.

Hooray!!
I pre-ordered in march…the cost: an arm and a cyber-torso (as Stephen said)…but my copy will arrive Spain, so once again…hooray!!

Looks to be well worth the wait. Thank everyone for their hard work on this … when it lands in my mailbox, I’m gonna party like it’s December 24, 2011.

Right off to check my local game store. If not $100 dollars from Battle shop…

Ophis–
They aren’t in stores yet, but if you take them the sell sheet (linked above), the store can order it. When we have a street date, we’ll announce it. (I’m still a little leery of the ship being devoured by a leviathan or being sucked to the bottom of the ocean…)

I look at those pics and think only one thing…
“oooooooooooooh” (think aliens from Toy Story ^_^)
Glad my pre-order is safe and sound!

This seems awesome. But when I tried to pre-order it from BattleShop, the shipping costs were half the price of the book itself (I live in the Netherlands). I only get to choose ‘Priority Mail International’, aren’t there cheaper delivery methods?

What is the difference between the Limited Edition and the 20th Anniversary Edition? (except the leather-cover) I mean the contents…
February 22nd, 2010 at 09:42:26
Hi! Newbie question: Is the Limited Edition the only printed version available, or is there going to be a dead-tree regular version? I’m worried because I may have to wait for ordering the 20A version, and I couldn’t run this game just from the e-book.
Regards,
ZOOROOS

PsyZed: The contents of the regular printings are the same as the limited edition.

Zooroos, the “regular” book is the 20th Anniversary Edition, it’s in print and available: http://www.shadowrun4.com/products/product.php?i=2600&m=cat

Is it possible for us to get a digital copy of that poster ?
I’d make a badass dual-monitor wallpaper.

Are you getting other sellers, like Amazon, Paizo, RPGNow, etc, to keep you updated on how many pre-orders they are getting for this? I can’t afford to pre-order from anywhere right now, but I would also hate to find out that the entire print run gets sold out just by pre-orders. Will you be keeping us up to date if you start getting close to selling out before it is released?

Good news.
I ordered in April and can´t wait to get my hands on the LE.
I will then own 20th Anniversary Limited Edition in three different languages (German, French, English).
Yeah, that´s fanatism. ;)

Alex: I’ll do my best to monitor supplies. Pre-orders, of course, will get top priority!
March 16th, 2010 at 06:03:35
so, 3/16, are we still worrying about whether it’s making it safely across the big puddle or have they made it?
oh, and Stephen, the best comment/suggestion that I have is get a list going and keep those that’re preordering something abreast of the situation….I put mine in 4/24/09 and have seen VERY FEW updates about it, and much like Kerry above, this has left a bad enough taste in my mouth that I won’t likely ever preorder again.
March 16th, 2010 at 20:50:11
Haven’t heard about arrival yet. I understand that this has taken very long, too long, and we apologize for that.
March 17th, 2010 at 09:54:04
I preordered my copy a lonnnng time ago, not quite in a galaxy far, far away but it does feel like it. That said if the current financial connundrums don’t hold it up I look forward to seeing it. I’ve ordered a lot of preorder stuff from various companies in the past and , fingers crossed, it’s always turned up… eventually :) Except one, some anime/manga thing. Hasn’t put me off preordering in the slightest.
March 17th, 2010 at 13:45:23
Just a suggestion…
Could the store have an option to ship available items in an order even if one of the items if pre-ordered with no projected street date?
I know that a lot of companies will use pre-orders to determine when there’s enough demand to print a release of a product. It doesn’t really seem entirely fair to penalize folks who want to get in line and support an in-development product by holding the rest of their physical items in their order until the “who knows when?” street date. I got the Book/PDF combo, with an “Archive my PDFs!”, and I have no idea when my disc will arrive… :(
