Shadowrun September Chat Transcript and Summary

Here’s the transcript for September 20th’s Shadowrun chat with Peter Taylor. The full transcript is just over 9 pages long, so here’s a quick summary of the chat …

  • Shadowrun Fiction: Our first print release of Shadowrun fiction will be an anthology, edited by John Helfers. The first full-length novel will be from Mel Odom, and further down the line there will be novels by Phaedra Weldon and Jason Hardy.
  • The final two Shadowrun books of 2008 will be Ghost Cartels and Feral Cities. Ghost Cartels is a street-level campaign book, using a new format that combines elements of all previous styles of Shadowrun adventures. Feral Cities is the next core location book, and it spotlights Chicago and Lagos, and also Bogata, GeMiTo, Karavan, Geneva, and Sarejevo.
  • Runner’s Companion has been available to retailers since August 19th!
  • Coming in 2009 is the first installment in a new adventure series, Dawn of the Artifacts, crime sourcebook Vice,, and critter rulebook Running Wild.
  • Shadowrun 20th Anniversary Books: The first two announced books for the 20th Anniversary series are Seattle 2072 and the Sixth World Almanac … the chat spilled a lot of cool details about these often-requested books!
  • Ebooks: Along with the Shadowrun Missions: New York series of adventures and linked sourcebooks, one of the early ebook releases will be Street Grimoire, additional magic-related material that ties into the upcoming reprint of Street Magic.

Those are the bullet points — now dive into the chat transcript and read all the details!
