Shadowrun Status Update
I’ve been sick for ten days now. I think Rob poisoned me. I warned him about the aneurism, but still, he took revenge!
Okay, here’s some status updates on the Shadowrun projects that are on my desk right now:
Corporate Enclaves: Los Angeles should be back from editing today, and then I’ll be pushing it through layout as quickly as possibly, in order to get it off to final proofreaders. All the interior art is in, much of the interior layout is already complete, and after some cover artist hijinx, Jon Hodgson is stepping up to the plate and working on his first Shadowrun cover for us. The maps are going through some last minute tweaks and revisions, and in general the book is shaping up quite well.
Arsenal: Most of the art for Arsenal has arrived, and the chapters are coming in from editing. Some of the layout has been completed, and we’re bashing back and forth some designs to accommodate all of the gear art, without just sliding it into the text flow as previous SR titles have done.
Shadowrun, Fourth Edition Reprint: So I read on someone’s blog earlier this week that we were abandoning Fourth Edition and working on Fifth already. Funny, because I spent that day working on the next reprint of SR4! Please, if somebody tells you that we’ve given up on Fourth Edition, let them know we’re still working on Fourth Edition books, and that includes a big reprint of the core rules and tons of future support … we have SR4 releases internally scheduled for years to come!
