Land of Promise PDF out! Street dates for Clutch of Dragons, Shadowrun 2050, and Runner’s Black Book 2074!

All sorts of Shadowrun goodness is coming your way! First, we have our newest PDF-only product, The Land of Promise (Battlecorps, DriveThruRPG):

Tír Tairngire Wants You!

Tír Tairngire has changed. The predominantly elven nation has an ork at its head, and the residents have become more welcoming to outsiders, in the sense that they don’t always immediately threaten to shoot them when they come in sight.

There is enough wealth and power in Tír Tairngire to make even the slightest crack in the nation’s façade tempting. Every shadowrunner knows that elves, especially powerful elves, do not rank high on the trustworthiness scale, but that doesn’t have to be a deal breaker. Anticipating lies and betrayals from the people runners work with is part of the game. Runners should just be sure to gather critical information about getting in to the Tír, the major cities, and the dominant personalities before they go in, since forewarned is forearmed.

Land of Promise is the resource runners need to get caught up on the current status of Tír Tairngire and its leaders. With adventure seeds, profiles of notable personalities, and essential demographic information, this is a critical resource for anyone living in or near the elven nation’s shadows.

Land of Promise is for use with Shadowrun, Twentieth Anniversary Edition.

In addition, we have a bunch of street dates, including a retroactive one! As it turns out, The Clutch of Dragons snuck out onto the streets yesterday. That’s right! All the draconic updates you need are hitting stores right now, with fiction, info on dragon lairs, sightings of new dragons, and more!

Next up, we have the blast from the past that is Shadowrun 2050your chance to play in the First Edition setting with Fourth Edition rules. It’ll be hitting the streets September 19th, ready for your reading pleasure!

And then, to finish off the month, the Runner’s Black Book 2074 will hit the streets on September 26th! Here’s the rundown on this one:

The Most Toys Wins

Asking a shadowrunner if they really need another gun is like asking someone if they need all that oxygen floating around them. Are you ever going to use all that air? Maybe not. But you’re sure as hell not going to be one of those suckers who’s going to be caught short.

Runner’s Black Book 2074 is about options, giving runners more choices of guns, weapons, vehicles, and other gear so that they can build a load out that suits them. Whether they want bleeding-edge gear built for those fighting the world’s latest wars or classic vehicles that have stood the test of time—or old crap they can get for cheap—Runner’s Black Book 2074 has what they need.

Collecting gear from PDF products Gun H(e)aven 2, Used Car Lot, MilSpec Tech 2, and EuroWar Antiques along with exclusive material for this book, Runner’s Black Book 2074 contains full-color illustrations, detailed descriptions, and complete game statistics for each item. It’s an essential resource for runners looking to do some shopping—or to learn more about the guns that might be pointed at them in the near future.

Runner’s Black Book 2074 requires Shadowrun, Twentieth Anniversary Edition.

Will the Runners Black Book 2074 be available in a limited edition like the previous RBB?

We printed a limited edition, but after GenCon and Pax I’m not sure just how many we have left, if any. I’ll have to check with the main office.

Hmm, parageology? Are we going to see some “rock men” showing up?

I always hated clippy (I think every Microsoft Office user did.) As a result I found him amusing, vaguely.

Ok, if Parazoology is ‘Fauna’, Parabotany is ‘Flora’, what is Parageology?

Parageology is ‘Geology’ and ‘Archaeology’, emphasis on specialty rocks and ancient artifacts…

I’m starting to think it’s done on purpose: no ISBNs added…

Something interesting. Yesterday I picked up Clutch of Dragons at Compleat Strategist in NYC. Started looking through the pages….noticed something: the lower 1/2 of each page has a faded ‘swath’, like the printing that puts in the tribal art had a bleed-through. On every page, except the art & fiction pages are FINE, intact & legible to read, it’s just one of those weird ‘misprint’ things. I’m keeping the book.

Sorry about the print–let us know if you want it replaced!

Unfortunately, the print version of 2050 seems to still be missing a few things — specifically, stats for program carriers and costs for improving decks, terminals, and luggage. Is an errata document still incoming for this?

I’ll be trying to work on one, yes.

OK, just got to download the tir Tairgire PDF via a friend and having looked at it i was a little surprised to find that they’d got the original SR 2nd edition sourcebook PDF by Nigel Findley. Is the l;and of promise PDF mentioned here a new release – IE: SR4A or have my friends gone and got the wrong PDF?
