I swear, Shadowrun fans, lately you’re acting like someone double-dog dared you to prove your awesomeness, regularly and consistently. The latest in a long line of examples of Shadowrun fans showing their passion came when GenCon event registration opened on Sunday. Our dedicated event staff, headed by Bull and Mike, had put together a fine slate of events, which included more than 65 Missions events, the two-night tournament, the Scramble, and nine Welcome to the Sixth World events that introduce people to the wonderful world of shadowrunning. Altogether, this accounted for more than 550 seats of Shadowrun gaming fun.
And now–gone. There may be a few seats here and there, but we essentially sold out of everything we had in a day. This was the fastest we’ve sold out of Shadowrun gaming slots in more than a decade. Excitement about Shadowrun Tabletop is growing, and I continue to be thrilled to be associated with Shadowrun fans. I don’t, sadly, get to play much at the con, but I’ll be sure to drop by the gaming area and take in the sight of all those tables of active gaming, just to soak in the atmosphere. The atmosphere of people getting shot in the face for money.
Thanks again, Shadowrun fans!

…envious look over the ocean…

you better participate on some European event. You wont even need visas in most countries
It’s a shame everything filled up already, since A) I didn’t even realize events had gone live yet and B) GenCon’s the one place I can really play SR, since finding a group out here isn’t very easy.
Does this mean we’ll get more offerings/games next year?
Make sure you give Dragon Con some love this year!
We’ll be working on that!
Now IF only I could get 1/4 of that kinda turn out for Megacon every year.
This is awesome, except that I passed out from exhaustion in the afternoon when registration opened and when I was able to get to the computer all the SR events were full *sad ninja*
Don’t worry I was there right when registration opened and I still missed out on some events.
Yep – the only Shadowrun events I’m going to be at are the one’s I’m GM-ing.
Such is life – most RPG’s sold out QUICK this year.
